It is to be possible to save the cumbersome and time-consuming removal and threading-in work of the curtain-bearing elements out of and into the curtain rod and to carry it out without separate tools. This is achieved in that the curtain rail is connected over a part or the total of its length to an easily separable profiled guide rail which has at one or both ends in each case a shut-off member which, in its blocking position, blocks the displacement of the curtain-bearing elements.
