Washing device of the sand ensuring the retention of the heavy materials and the machine using this device

Assembly recovering heavy materials contained in the sand particles and collected during the washing of the latter. The invention is constituted by an endless elastomer belt 1 carrying, on its outer surface, filiform projecting studs (barbs) 2 of various diameters and lengths which are organised in parallel rows by successive ranges of studs (barbs) of the same diameter, the said belt 1 being inserted into a sand-washing plant and set into a continuous counter-current movement, a washing boom spraying its lower side, thus detaching the concentrate of materials which these studs (barbs) retain. The invention can be used for the recovery of heavy materials, such as gold, which are contained in the sand particles. IMAGE
