The present invention relates to a mill, intended in particular for composts. The mill comprises a shell 1, in which it is placed, and four crushing units 2 with hammers intended to turn at high speed within the shell. Each of these crushing units consists of three rods fixed, by means of two spaced supports, around a rotating axle and the said rods bear a plurality of hammer members. Each hammer consists of a small bar having an end articulated on a corresponding support rod and its own free end is tapered and formed into facets. The four crushing units 2 are arranged two by two in series and are each located above a grid 26. The mill also comprises a rotating drum sieve for grading the milled material. Inside the drum, there is provided a mixer-scraper which has blades rotating in the direction opposite to that of the drum. IMAGE
