This method is intended for controlling the movement of the striking piston of a percussion appliance which is driven by a pressurised incompressible fluid and is equipped with hydraulically controllable regulation devices capable of causing the percussion parameters, such as the speed of impact and/or the striking frequency of the piston, to vary.
