A shock-absorbing wrapping or packaging sheet material which can fit the contours of an article neatly and can absorb impact energy favourably, comprises of one or more synthetic resin sheets 1,2 and is provided with a plurality of air cells 4, each being provided with one or more holes 5. Upon impact, the cells 4 of the shock-absorbing wrapper are easily deformed by ejecting air from the air cells 4 through the holes 5, thus allowing the wrapped article to be protected and wrapped well. The sheet or sheets may be of either vinyl chloride, vinyl acetate, polyethylene, polypropylene or rubber. The sheet material may comprise a metal foil, cloth or paper bonded to a synthetic resin sheet or a resin sheet having metal vapour film thereon. IMAGE
