MEASURING DEVICE FOR CUMMULATIVE AND PITCH ERROR OF TOOTHED BELT

PURPOSE:To measure pitch and cummulative errors accurately and rapidly by detecting the difference between a pulse signal of a time setter and a pulse from a pulse generator and integrating the error to store the maximum and minimum values and display them. CONSTITUTION:The measuring apparatus consists of toothed pulley 3 whose revolving speed is accurately regulated by synchronous motor 2, follower toothed pulley 5 revolving through toothed belt 4 whose pitch error is to be measured, pulse generator 6 interlocked with shaft 5A of the follower pulley and generates pulse signals constantly, time setter 7 which generates a pulse signal in every time synchronized with synchronous motor 2, error integrator 8 which detects the difference between a signal outputted from device 7 and a pulse from pulse generator 6 and integrates the detected value, memory 9 which stores the maximum and minimum detected by integrator 8 and detects the difference, and display device 10 which displays the detected result. Thus, errors can be measured accurately and rapidly.
