PURPOSE:To obtain a sensitive material having superior color reproducibility with respect to any hue by incorporating a specified magenta coupler and a specified yellow coupler. CONSTITUTION:A magenta coupler represented by formula I is incorporated into a green-sensitive silver halide emulsion layer and a yellow coupler represented by formula II is incorporated into a blue-sensitive emulsion layer. In formula I, Z is a group of nonmetallic atoms required to form an N-contg. heterocyclic ring, X is H atom or a group releasable by a reaction with the oxidized product of a color developing agent and R is H atom or a substituent. In formula II, R21 is alkyl or cycloalkyl group, R22 is a group such as alkyl, R23 is a group substitutable on the benzene ring, n=0 or 1, R24 is an org. group contg. a bonding group having a carbonyl or sulfonyl unit, J is a group represented by formula III (where R25 is H atom, alkyl, aryl or a heterocyclic group) and X1 is a group releasable by a reaction with the oxidized product. A sensitive material having superior color reproducibility with respect to any hue is obtd.
