PURPOSE:To facilitate the calibration of a particle counter by dipping a substantial body with a nonporous surface in liquid where standard particles for particle counter calibration are dispersed to constant area and sticking a specific number of standard particles on the substantial body, and lifting the substantial material from the liquid and dispersing the standard particles in a medium to be measured at the measurement part of the particle counter. A rod body 3 made of a substantial body which has a nonporous surface and projects in the container 1 is fixed to the cap 2. The standard particle dispersed liquid 4 of the specific concentration is supplied to this container 1 by the specific amount and the cap 2 is engaged threadably with the container 1, which is sealed, so that the substantial body 3 is dipped in the dispersed liquid. Then the cap 2 is unclamped and extracted gently and then standard particles corresponding to the surface area of the substantial body 3 dipped in the dispersed liquid are obtained sticking on the substantial body 3.
