PURPOSE:To increase the effective area of heat accumulation and permit to increase the amount of heat accumulation by a method wherein specified outflow and inflow ports without employing a header tube are provided and a cushion tank is miniaturized. CONSTITUTION:Internal vertical current shaping plates 2c are provided in the cushion tank at the side of pipelines in the tank so as to be closed to the beginning end of flow in the tank. Accordingly, hot-water and cold water, which flow into and flow out of the pipeline 1, receive the resistance of the vertical current shaping plates during flowing in the cushion tank directly and flow uniformly without generating partial branch flows from the upper (or lower) part of the cushion tank, therefore, non-existence of the header tube is supplemented. The internal current shaping plates 2c, consisting of several sheets of perforated plates arranged with intervals of 1/15-1/20 of the total length of the cushion tank, are suitable, however, lattices or nets may be used in place of the perforated plates. According to this method, the header tube is eliminated and the installation cost of the heat accumulating tank may be reduced.
