ABSTRACT OF THE DISCLOSUREA process for eluting indium from a chelateresin having a phosphorus atom-containing, chelate-forming group which contains adsorbed indium, whichcomprises contacting said resin firstly with a primaryeluent containing an acid containing no halogen atom inthe molecule at a concentration of 0.1 N or higher andthen with an eluent for indium which is selected from thegroup consisting of (1) a solution of an acid containinga halogen atom in the molecule, (2) a mixed solution of(a) a metal halide, an ammonium halide or a mixturethereof and (b) an acid and (3) a mixed solution of asulfide and a base compound.
