Abstract:A method and an apparatus for affixing a ribbon to a bagA bag (12) is continuously fed to a predeterminedposition. A tie material (15) is continuously fed suchthat the tie material (15) is close to the bag (12), isable to tie up the open top of the bag (12), and then issevered for a specific length. Also, a ribbon (19) iscontinuously and longitudinally fed to the open top of thebag (12) and severed for a specific length. A tie piece(15a) severed from the tie material (15) is wound aroundthe open top to tie up the open top together with the ribbon(19) and to affix the ribbon (19) to the bag (12).
