A television camera for viewing internal spaces of nuclear reactor installations, esp gas-cooled reactors, has a camera mounted in a tube, with one or more mirrors and one or more light sources mounted in front of the object glass; the mirrors and light sources are connected to the tube, and a gap between the inside of the tube and the camera has coolant gas flowing through it. Preferably, the tube is pushed onto the outside of the camera and the two are screwed together by threads or flanges. The mirrors and/or light sources may be pivotally mounted. The light source is pref mounted in a continuation of the tube, containing a circular or parabolic, polished reflector and a condenser lens. Used for inspecting inaccessible, highly active zones inside a reactor or its equipment.
