The end of the fibre bundle or cable (1) is covered by a glove-like cylindrical sleeve (11) with a circular end face (13), from which protrude sheaths (15) of equal length (L). The cable end is fitted with a cylindrical dielectric support having the same number of peripheral V-grooves in which the respective fibres are bedded.
