PROCESS FOR PRODUCING A RIGID CONNECTION BETWEEN TWO COAXIAL MECHANICAL PARTS, AND SET OF TWO PARTS BOUND BY THIS PROCESS

This method allows an axial and rotational connection between an outer component and an inner component, such as a gear 1 and a shaft 2. The gear 1 has internal teeth 5, in front of which there is hollowed an annular chamber 9, and it is produced from a material whose hardness is greater than that of the shaft 2. The gear 1 is fitted onto the end 14 of the shaft 2, so that the teeth 5 detach, from the material of the shaft 2, chips 18 which become housed, rolling up on themselves, in the annular chamber 9 of the gear 1.
