AUXILIARY POWER SOURCE FOR AC/DC ELECTRIC ROLLING STOCK

PURPOSE:To prevent the abrupt change of a filter capacitor voltage due to notch ON/OFF of a main motor circuit by winding a filter reactor on a core common to a main smoothing reactor, and providing reverse polarity. CONSTITUTION:A DC power input from a trolley line through a pantograph 1 is output as it is through main contacts of the DC side of AC/DC converters 18A-18C. The main contacts of the converters 18A-18C are converted to AC side in an AC zone, and AC power input from the pantograph 1 is output through a main transformer 19, a main reactor 20 and a main smooth reactor 21. DC output is output through filter reactors 4, 4A and a filter capacitor 5A. Here, the reactor 4A shares a core with the reactor 21 and is coupled in reverse polarity therewith.
