PURPOSE:To easily take out the contents of a dictionary and a data base and to process these contents by utilizing the dictionary and data base having their contents formed electronically. CONSTITUTION:An electronic dictionary application means 6 contains a dictionary selecting means which selects the desired one of plural dictionaries including an English-Japanese dictionary, as Japanese-English dictionary, etc., and a dictionary reference means. An electronic English sentence production knowledge data base 9 having a hierarchical structure and an electronic dictionary 10 contain an extremely large quantity of information. These information are partly inputted to a memo box 11 consisting of an external memories like a floppy disk, a hard disk, etc., as necessary in the form of the memo (knowledge) about production of English sentences by means of a memo box application means 7 consisting of a memo reference means and a memo write editing means. An English sentence production editing means 8 produces an English document in an English sentence production area (English sentence typing area) where the document 12 is produced. Thus the versatile back-up is possible for production of English sentences.
