PURPOSE:To make input operation easy by displaying plural items and a conversion ratio between respective items, selecting one of the item corresponding to a conversion ratio to be inputted and an item to be a reference and specifically determining the conversion ratio. CONSTITUTION:An area 21 for storing a conversion ratio between a reference item and each item and a work area 22 for storing various variables are formed in a RAM 2 and currency units of respective countries e.g. and their corresponding conversion are respectively displayed on areas A-1-A-4 and A-5-A-8 of a display device 5 and each position can be inputted by an indication pen 6. In case of converting a reference currency unit from dollar e.g. to 'Yen' e.g., the area A-1 is depressed by the pen 6, the conversion ratios of the areas A-4-A-8 are calculated and displayed. In case of converting the conversion ratio of the area A-8 e.g., the area A-8 is indicated by the pen 6 and its conversion ratio is inputted from a keyboard 4 and displayed on the display device 5.
