HULLING RATE DETECTING DEVICE FOR RICE HULLER

PURPOSE:To eliminate the unstableness of hulling rate control due to sudden variation in detected hulling rate by comparing a current found chaff and hulled rice decision value with a last chaff and hulled rice decision value and inhibiting a hulling rate from being detected when there is more than constant variation. CONSTITUTION:Mixed rice consisting of chaff and hulled rice after the hulling processing of the hulling roll of a rice huller is guided, grain by grain, to a sensor 2 for hulling rate detection and its hulling state is converted into an electric signal. A chaff and hulled rice discrimination value calculating means A finds a discrimination value for discriminating between chaff and hulled rice from respective detected values of the sensor 2 and the value is stored in a discrimination value storage means B. A hulling rate detecting means C compares the respective detected values of the sensor 2 with the discrimination value of the means B to calculate the hulling rate. A discrimination value discriminating means D discriminates whether or not the current found decision value found by the means A varies from the decision value in the means B by more than a constant value. When there is variation exceeding the constant value, a hulling rate detection quitting means E quits the detection of the hulling rate by the means C. Consequently, the unstableness of the hulling rate control due to sudden variation in detected hulling rate is eliminated.
