PURPOSE:To repair the flaws of a synthetic resin lining under water by a method in which a box-like cover is contacted with the flaws of the lining, the inside of the cover is filled with air, and seal is dried and hot-bonded by a heater in the cover. CONSTITUTION:A box-like cover 1 is contacted with the flaws 60 of the lining 59 of a steel material 56 to be driven in such a way as to surround the flaws 60, and the inside of the cover 1 is filled with air. A polyethylene repairing piece 57 temporarily fixed to the front face of a supporter 8 by a hot-bonding adhesive, etc., and the neighborhood of flaws 60 are dried by a heater 7, and the piece 57 is pressed on the lining 59 for hot bonding by the heater 7.
