AGENT FOR SUPPRESSING INCREASE OF WATER-CONTENT OF MATERIAL STORED IN OPEN-AIR

PURPOSE:To provide the titled suppressing agent containing an aqueous emulsion of a specific acrylic resin as an active component, sprayable easily and safely with simple process, forming a hydrophobic film, suppressing the increase of water-content in high efficiency, and effective for the treatment of coal, etc. stored in open air. CONSTITUTION:The objective suppressing agent contains, as an active component, an aqueous emulsion of an acrylic resin having film-forming property at normal temperature, and capable of forming a water-insoluble film containing =1(wt)% water-soluble component. Preferably, the acrylic resin contains =8% hydrophilic monomer (e.g. acrylic acid) based on the total weight, and the aqueous emulsion is prepared by the emulsion polymerization of the monomer in the presence of 1-10% surfactant (e.g. polyoxyethylene alkyl ether) (based on the total weight).
