The present invention relates to novel compounds of general formula (I), wherein R stands for hydrogen or halogen or a C1-4 alkyl or C1-4 alkoxyl group or an acylamino group containing 1 to 4 carbon atoms in the acyl moiety; X stands for one of the groups of general formulae (IV), (V) or (VI), wherein R1 means hydrogen or a straight or branched chain C1-4 alkyl group of E and/or Z configuration as well as their salts. The compounds according to the invention show cytoprotective and gastric acid secretion-inhibiting effects; their toxicity is low.
