PROCESS FOR PREPARING SELF-EXTINGUISHING FORMED THERMO-PLASTIC BODIES BASED ON POLYCAPROLACTUMABSTRACTA process for preparing self-extinguishing formedthermoplastic bodies based on polycaprolactam, whichconsists in polymerizing, by anionic way, in suitablemolds .epsilon. -caprolactam, by previously incorporating intosaid .epsilon.-caprolactam a flame-retardant and optionallyat least a known coadjuvant substance, said flame-retar-dant being composed of red phosphorus powder micro-enca-psulated in a synthetic resin, preferably in a melamineresin.
