Abristle assembly and flexible tapered insert are confinedin sealing engagement in the applicator, the flexibleinsert having a plurality of capillary holes extendingfrom an upper chamber to bottom openings aligned with aplurality of V-shaped slots. The V-shaped slots aresupported by tapered ribs terminating at the slot ends,and the flexible insert is tapered to a plurality ofclosed ends bridging the shaped slots. The handle of theapplicator is adapted for connection to a source ofpressurized liquid and an interior liquid flow path isprovided through a valve chamber and into flowcommunication with the capillary openings through theflexible insert.
