Method for the multistage treatment of radioactive waste water with a decanter, characterised in that solids contained in the waste water are dried with the decanter to 10% residual moisture and are then removed, in that solids remaining in the fluid part are separated with a separator as far as into the colloidal range and in that there is subsequently effected with the fluid product of the decanter a substantially molecular filtration which renders possible use as process water.
