The adjustable seat mounted on a wheeled frame, with a back support (25) connected by a hinge (17) to a seating surface (24) and used during childbirth, has acoustic frequency generators (22,23) incorporated in these two surfaces (24,25). The frequency can be adjusted and the amplitude is low. The frequency generators are positioned near the buttocks and low part of the back. The frequency generators are of membrane type and the whole of the back support and seat or parts of them can be formed as membranes. A permanent magnet (28) sloping at an angle is suitably mounted at the rear and its angle can be adjusted. Projecting from the back support are padded armrests (19) with padded straps (21) at their ends. ADVANTAGE - A wide range of problems is simplified.
