The invention relates to a split-cage motor which is encapsulated in a pressure-tight manner, the explosionproof gap being arranged in the region of the radial sliding bearing gap and being used as feed and outlet openings for the lubricant and cooling liquid. The explosionproof gap consists of parts which can move relative to one another and always faces the rotor, while the adjacent radial sliding bearing gap always faces the shaft ends.
