A set of starting blocks for track athletics is described, having two starting blocks which lock into a supporting rail. In order to improve the operability and possibility of adjustment of such a set of starting blocks and to prevent the disadvantageous manipulation of individual parts, the support rail (7) has a parallel guide bar (13) on which the ends of two articulated levers (16, 17) are displaceably and pivotably mounted. These articulated levers (16, 17) are each rotatably mounted by their free ends in one starting block (21, 22), the axis of rotation being arranged in a recess (27) lying transversely to the direction of running. The axis of rotation (29) thus formed in each starting block (21; 22) lies parallel to the guide bar (13). This permits the starting blocks to remain permanently on the supporting rail and allows rapid shifting or changing of the starting blocks by simple pivoting. IMAGE
