An appts. for checking the calibration of a hydraulic press consists of a hardened steel cylinder, with dimensions characteristic to the type of machine checked, and provided with four strain gauges mounted in a Wheatstone bridge. The cylinder is connected to a measuring module comprising an amplifier, a voltage source and a digital display. The signal delivered by the gauges is amplified and the output voltage is converted into a numerical value, displayed or recorded. The appts. can be calibrated with a reference balance, the adjustment to zero being done before each measurement. USE/ADVANTAGE - For hardness tester and hydraulic press. Can be adapted to any machine exerting compression forces, testinq its measuring chain and detecting electronic or mechanical alterations.
