PURPOSE:To improve environment for an organism to be cultured, simultaneously bringing the organism into contact with water with a high content of dissolved oxygen and efficiently grow the organism to be cultured by making water vertically and forcibly flow in a culture area. CONSTITUTION:Water in a culture area is discontinuously made to flow in the vertical directions to increase the amount of dissolved oxygen on the side of water bottom, promote propagation of aerobic microorganisms therewith and decompose organic substances. The environment for cultured fishes, etc., is improved by the vertical flow of the water and the cultured fishes, etc., are always bought into contact with the water with a high content of the dissolved oxygen. The propagation of aerobic microorganisms near the above- mentioned water bottom is promoted by increasing the content of the dissolved oxygen near the afore-mentioned water bottom to decompose organic substances and clean the water bottom. As a result, noxious gases and also red tide can be prevented from generating and occurring.
