Potential use of remote sensing in water resource and in particular in irrigation managementrnhas been widely acknowledged. However, in reality, operational applications of remoternsensing in irrigation management are few. In this study, the applicability of the main availablernremote sensing based techniques used in the assessment of Crop Water Requirement isrnevaluated and used in planning for annual water allocation in irrigated agriculture.
