METHOD FOR INCLUDING CERAMIC AS INTERNAL CHILL

PURPOSE:To improve the productivity of a combined product of ceramic and metal by coating circumferential face of a ceramic sintered body with glass and casting molten metal around it. CONSTITUTION:The ceramic sintered body 1 is dipped into fused glass 3 held in a fusing vessel 2. The glass coating layer 4 is formed on the outer circumferential face of the ceramic sintered body 1 by drawing up as it is. The ceramic sintered body 1 coated with the glass 4 is set in a mold 5, and the molten metal of aluminum, etc., is cast therein. By this method, the coating to even the ceramic sintered body having complicate shape, can be easily executed.
