SWITCH FOR SENSING FOIL YARN FOR ARRANGING FOIL YARN IN FOIL DRAWING MACHINE

PURPOSE:To surely sense the presence or absence of a foil yarn by supporting lifting and lowering contact means with a picked foil yarn in the initial or final period of picking the foil yarn and closing the lifting and lowering contacts with elimination of the support thereof. CONSTITUTION:A solenoid of an electromagnetic operator 50 is excited to suck and retreat an operating shaft 52 against working force of a spring. An inverted U-shaped supporting member 38 is protruded through vertical holes 14 to eliminate contact of lifting and lowering contacts 40 with fixed points of contact 18. A foil drawing rod is passed through the inverted U-shaped supporting member 38 to unexcite the electromagnetic operator 50. The foil drawing rod is then retreated to support the supporting member 38 with a foil yarn 60 succeeding thereto. If the foil yarn 60 is removed from the supporting member 38, the lifting and lowering contacts 40 in the lifting and lowering contact means 30 are lowered till contact thereof with the fixed points of contact 18. Thereby, a state of closed contact is provided.
