FOIL YARN DETECTION APPARATUS FOR ALIGNING FOIL YARN IN FOIL-LAYING APPARATUS

PURPOSE:To surely detect the presence of a foil yarn by supporting a lifting means in a freely lowerable state with a foil yarn laterally inserted above a switching means at the initial stage or final stage of the lateral insertion of foil yarn. CONSTITUTION:An inverted U-shaped supporting member 36 is supported by a foil yarn 60. When the foil yarn 60 is slipped off from the inverted U-shaped supporting member 36, a lifting frame 30 is lowered until an upper horizontal frame part 34 is brought into contact with the lowest inclined face-contacting part of a lifting head 44. The light beam transmitted from an emitter of a photo-electric sensor 50 to a receptor is shielded with a member 38 to be detected and the lowered state of the lifting frame 30 is detected.
