PURPOSE:To catch and filter off even fine magnetic foreign matters included in a ink by using jointly a magnet with a mechanical filtering device, in a filtering device used for a printing ink, etc. CONSTITUTION:Various kinds of foreign matters, including magnetic foreign matters, intrude into a printing ink while using it by circulation, and cause the lowering of printing quality, etc.; then the filtration of ink is required. As a filtering device of ink, a mechanical filtering device 10 is provided to the central part of a cylindrical vessel 2, and plural magnetic devices 11 are also attached to the outside of the vessel 2 in its longitudinal direction. A printing ink to be filtered is introduced from an introducing part 3 into the vessel 2, and fine magnetic foreign matters are attracted and caught on the inner wall of vessel 2 by the magnetic devices 11 while the ink flows downward in the inside of the vessel 2, and a purified ink is taken out from a discharging part 4 after filtering out magnetic foreign matters by the device 10. The sticking magnetic matters fall to the bottom of vessel 2 by detaching the magnets, and the foreign matters in the filter 10 are removed by the action of an actuator 24, thus the device 1 is regenerated again.
