CONSTITUTION:The steel for welding construction of =100mm thick having =80kgf/mm2 tensile strength has a composition consisting of, by weight, 0.08-0.12% C, =0.20% Si, 0.5-1.0% Mn, =0.001% S, 1.5-2.0% Ni, =0.50% Cr, 0.3-0.7% Mo, 0.02-0.04% V, 0.015-0.04% Al, 0.0005-0.0040% B, and the balance Fe with inevitable impurities. In this way, the thick-walled high- tensile steel for welding construction in which occurrence of SR cracking as well as low-temp. cracking in welding is prevented can be obtained.
