AGEING-RESISTANT SINGLE BASE AGEMT POWDER, PRODUCTION OF THEREOF AND ADAPTATION THEREOF TO GAS GENERATOR

PURPOSE: To obtain single base firing gunpowder having excellent aging resistance, etc., by mixing a solvent, a stabilizer, zinc carbonate and nitrocellulose, extruding formed dough and cutting the extrudate to particles. ;CONSTITUTION: The solvent (e.g. ethyl ether), the stabilizer (e.g. diphenylamine), the zinc carbonate and the nitrocellulose are mixed. The amt. of the zinc carbonate is adequately in a range of 0.8 to 1 wt.% of the dry nitrocellulose and the grain size distribution of the zinc carbonate is adequately in a range of 2 to 50 μm. The resulted dough is then extruded and the extrudate is further cut to the particles, by which the aging resistant single base gunpowder is obtd. The obtained gunpowder is advantageously used for gas generators for apparatus for producing fireworks and is adequately used for cylinder dischargers, fireworks producing shear, or fireworks producing actuators for valves, winders for stabilizing belts mounted at motor vehicles, extension actuators, etc.;COPYRIGHT: (C)1990,JPO
