ABSTRACTAging-resistant single-base powder, process ofmanufacture, and application to gas generators.The present invention relates to nitrocellulosesingle-base propellent powders which exhibit goodresistance to aging and to moisture. The powdersaccording to the invention characteristically containzinc carbonate whose particle size distribution isbetween 2 and 500 micrometres as an additive. The zinccarbonate is incorporated in the powder during theblending. The powders according to the invention findtheir preferred applications as propellent powders forammunition intended for warships or for aircraft or aspowders intended for gas generators for pyrotechnicdevices.
