PURPOSE:To improve the sensitivity of analysis and the storage stability and to eliminate the interference of hemoglobin by including a substrate of gamma-GPT and thiourea in a porous developing layer and including glycylglycine in a reagent layer. CONSTITUTION:A liquid-impermeable light-transmitting substrate composed of a polymer such as cellulose acetate is successively laminated with a reagent layer and a porous developing layer. The porous developing layer contains a substrate of gamma-GPT, thiourea, a surfactant, etc., and the reagent layer contains glycylglycine using a binder such as polyvinyl pyrrolidone or its derivative. A multi-layer analytical element for the determination of gamma-grutamyl transpeptidase having improved sensitivity of analysis and storage stability and eliminated interference of hemoglobin can be prepared by the above process.
