A picture displaying device in the form of a shallow rectangular housing with a slot at one edge to enable a picture to be inserted. The housing may accommodate a single picture or a pile of pictures and be provided with an arrangement for withdrawing one picture at a time from one end of a pile. The arrangement consisting of an inclined face and an abutment close to it so that the picture being withdrawn is slightly bent, and thereby produces a force opposing the withdrawal which exceeds the frictional force on the second picture. Another part of the same inclined face may be used to ensure that a picture inserted at the other end of the pile cannot encounter the edge of a picture already in the pile. Manually operated rubber rollers, friction slider members, and suction nozzles are described to effect the withdrawal of a picture. IMAGE
