ABSTRACT OF THE INVENTIONA carburetor comprising a fuel/airinduction passage, a secondary orifice communicatingwith the induction passage, and a fuel supply systemoperable to supply fuel from a source of fuel to thesecondary orifice, the fuel supply system including awall defining an elongated enclosed chamber having alongitudinal axis and a first end, the wall includingan inlet communicating between the source of fuel andthe chamber, and, at the second end, an outletcommunicating between the chamber and the secondaryorifice, the outlet including a valve seat, a valvemember within the chamber and including a needleportion adapted to engage the valve seat, the valvemember being movable within the chamber along thelongitudinal axis of the chamber relative to a closedposition wherein the needle portion sealingly engagesthe valve seat, a spring biasing the valve membertoward the closed position, and an adjustment rodselectively engageable with the valve member forselectively and releasably moving the valve memberaway from the closed position.
