Swine kidney cell culture, and its use in vaccine production

The invention relates to a "swine kidney" SK6 cell line able to grow in a suspension culture and suitable for the cultivation of several viruses. Further the invention relates to a "Chinese" strain of the hog cholera virus adapted to said cell line and the vaccines derived therefrom. Samples of both the "swine kidney" SK6 cell line in question and the adapted "Chinese" strain of the hog cholera virus have been deposited with the Pasteur Institute in France.
