When measuring the current flow of a tridimensional large model of a land vehicle (2) in a wind tunnel in the low-velocity region up to approximately 100m/sec, the wall contours are adapted in a suitable manner in order to avoid or reduce the wind tunnel interference caused by the measuring walls (2). The adaption of the wall contours occurs in one plane only, and namely two-dimensionally. The adaption is carried out in such a way that on one line in the flow direction the wind tunnel interference becomes completely or almost zero. The device for carrying out the method has a wind tunnel working section (1) which receives the model of a land vehicle (2) and has walls (4-7), in which working section the stream peripheral conditions can be changed by corresponding adjustment devices. The adjustment devices (8) are only provided on one of the walls (4-6) of the wind tunnel working section (1). The adjustment devices (8) are arranged and constructed in such a way that the adaption of the stream peripheral conditions occurs two-dimensionally. IMAGE
