A load-bearing rail (10) for slat carriers of vertically slatted blinds for the load-bearing guidance of slat-carrier housings and shaft carriers, during the translatory movement thereof along the rail, comprises longitudinal webs (28, 29) which are directed essentially from the lower edge of a central longitudinal profile niche (24) in the back (23) of the rail towards the two side walls (26, 27) and with which sliding guide elements (38, 39) of slat-carrier housings and shaft carriers can be brought into engagement. Arranged at regular intervals within the longitudinal profile niche (24) are bores (25) which serve to receive clamping elements (40) which are provided with a stop (41) and onto which shaft carriers (37) run. The longitudinal webs (28, 29) form profile niches into which axially offset guide protrusions of the slat-carrier housings can engage in order to avoid tilting of the same. IMAGE
