A device for damping pressure fluctuations in largely rigid pipelines through which fluid flows exhibits a housing (3) in which there is provided a pressure store (10) which can be filled with gas via a filling valve (13) and whose gas space (11) is separated from a receiving space (12) for fluid from the pipeline (1) by a movable wall consisting of a compliant material, the receiving space (12) being in connection, via a connecting line, to the interior (14) of the pipeline (1) through which fluid flows. A housing (3) is of a form which extends in the direction of the pipeline (1) and encloses the pipeline (1) round the circumference thereof. A hose portion (8) which encloses the circumference of the pipeline (1) in certain areas is provided as the movable wall. The connecting line between the interior (14) of the pipeline (1) and the receiving space (12) comprises a multiplicity of through-passages (2) which are arranged over the circumference of the pipeline, in the region enclosed by the hose portion (8).
