An image of a small section of a grey or colour filter is formed on an optoelectronic detector via a lens and a mirror mounted on the measurement object. This ensures a definite mathematical relationship between the light passed by the filter and incident on the detector and the filter section position. Planar and non-planar angles can be measured using a filter with optical density varying with the length coordinate and radial symmetrical density respectively. USE/ADVANTAGE - For contactless, optoelectronic measurement of planar and non-planar angles. Simpler, cheaper measurement is achieved, esp. for control, measurement and regulation applications.
