The optical imaging system is for installation in a colour photo-electric copier for the production of coloured copies. It consists of an imaging lens and fixed mirrors. A pivoted mirror (2) capable of assuming various deflecting positions is installed between the lens (1) and the fixed mirrors (6, 7, 8, 9). Colour filters (3, 4, 5) can be arranged between the pivoted mirror (2) and the other mirrors, each becoming operatively effective at a certain angle of deflection. An image drum (10, 11, 12) is provided for a partial coloured copy corresponding to each filter deflection position. This system reduces the number of optical components required.
