PURPOSE:To reduce the rise of a dust discharging passage, to shorten the dis tance as well and to perform a strong dust collection with good efficiency by composing it so as to open the air passage provided inside a casing at the side part of a spindle head and to reject the chip from the suction port corre sponding to this opening horizontally. CONSTITUTION:When a spindle head A is operated with its movement to a work position from the retreat position, the other end opening (c) of the air passage (a) in the spindle head A is connected to the suction port (d) of the vacuum means side. The chip generated in case of cutting reaches the suction port (d) via the air passage (a) of the motor 25 outer peripheral part from the brush 28 inside and rejected to the external part from the discharging port 42 of a hollow room 40. In this case, the end part of the air passage (a) is opened toward the rear part of the spindle head A and the suction port (d) is corresponding to this opening in the horizontal direction, so there is no rise beyond the need in the passage of the chip and the discharging passage can be composed in the shortest distance.
