MEMORY WITH LOAD ARRANGED ON DISTRIBUTION DATA LINE AND METHOD OF ARRANGING THE LOAD

PURPOSE: To realize a memory in which a load is arranged on a distribution data line by selecting one array out of a set of arrays, coupling it to a global data line, and including at least, three loads distributed substantially and uniformly along this line. CONSTITUTION: Global data lines 22, 24 are arranged in the longitudinal direction of a memory 10, coupled to one pair (set) of arrays 32, 34, 36, 38 distributed along the global data lines 22, 24, when the global data lines 22, 24 are selected, each array supplies voltage to the global data lines. High voltage is supplied to a first loads 25-30 by an array 32, and low voltage is supplied to the last load by the last array 34. And in operation of a read-out mode, one pair of loads relating to each array is made ENABLE when a corresponding array is selected. An access time can be remarkably reduced by arranging loads thus.
