APPARATUS FOR INTRAOCULAR TRANSPLANTATION OF POSTERIOR AQUEOUS CHAMBER

PURPOSE: To comparative easily insert a lens into a retrobulbar liquid chamber and then accurately position the lens by installing an upper and lower touch- sensing loop for positioning a lens into a retrobulbar liquid chamber on a side part opposed to a lens body. CONSTITUTION: An egg-shaped lens 20 is composed of that an upper touch- sensing loop 22 consisting of a polypropylene or nylon and a lower touch-sensing loop 24 having a larger rigidity than the former are opposedly fixed, and a square-shaped hole 30, 32 for fixing them by a scoop and the like is provided in the front surface when they are inserted, and a straight line-shaped portion 26, 28 is formed and then is facilitated to be guided to a desired position from the cut portion of a small cornea. And a tool such as the scoop and the like is fixed into a hole 30 or 32, and inserted into the retrobulbar liquid chamber from the cornea-cut portion without injuring the outer skin of the cornea, and then the lens 20 is centered for the pupil by using the lower touch-sensing loop 24 having the larger rigidity and the upper touch-sensing loop 22 having the smaller rigidity. Thus, the insertion of the lens is easily carried out and an accurate positioning can be performed.
