PURPOSE:To reduce the stand by time by measuring the processing time of the plural numbered raw material, and subtracting the arrangement time and the minimum float from the scheduled processing end time of the plural numbered raw material 9 to set the arrangement start time of the next raw material to the plural numbered raw material in a transport apparatus for a turret punch press or the like. CONSTITUTION:A ram material transport apparatus 7 includes a control device for measuring the raw material processing time T of a raw material processing device 1, thereby measuring the raw material processing time T of n-th and (n+1)th raw materials, the arrangement time (t) of (n+1)th raw material and the raw material transport time t1. The arrangement start point of (n+1)th raw material is set earlier than the scheduled processing end time of the n-th raw material by the time obtained by adding the minimum float (a) to the arrangement time (t) of the (n+1)th raw material. This arrangement can reduce the stand-by time for sucking the material by a sucker 9 and transporting the same.
